A wall-hung vanity, cabinet or basin must be fixed to a solid, load-bearing wall with fixings rated for its weight when loaded with water and contents; a basin and tap must be connected and the water supply pressure-tested by a competent installer. A bathroom is a wet zone: an LED mirror, mirror cabinet or any mains item must be wired by a qualified electrician to the bathroom zone rules, with the correct IP rating and RCD protection, and kept out of direct water spray.
